Family Run On The Beach!
If you're looking for something fun and FREE to do in Daytona Beach on march 2nd, you're in for a truly unique event. This beach walk/5k/10k is FREE to walk in and helps benefit the Halifax Humane Society. You're welcome to bring your four legged friends and any donations you make will help out a great cause. Unlike other races and walks, you don't need to hit up all of your friends and family for donations, although you can if you want to! Checkout the video from last year. Although the music is more geared to NASCAR racing instead of a walk, the video will give you a taste of what you'll be in for!
Get ready to put your paws in the sand. The Halifax Humane Society is proud to announce our 3rd Annual Mutt Strutt 5K on the Beach will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Daytona Beach Bandshell.
This year's event will include a competitive, timed 10K as well as the animal and family-friendly 5K Walk/Run. Because of liability issues, we cannot allow animals to participate in the 10K.
The Mutt Strutt 5K on the Beach is a free, non-competitive family fun run benefitting the HHS. This will be the only day Volusia County will allow animals on the beach, so come out and enjoy the sand and sun.
All proceeds from this event will directly support the abused and abandoned animals of our shelter. With your help, we hope to raise over $50,000 to help homeless and abused animals in Volusia County.
